Mayuko Inui (she/they)

Mayuko Inui is an artist based in Tokyo, Japan.
Her work explores feminism and queer theory through video and performance art using her own body as the material of the artwork. In recent years, she has been interested in representations of gender in folktales, and in songs and stories that change as they are told and retold.
